Minimum Room Size (m3)

What is this?

A bioethanol fireplace has no flue or chimney, so it uses oxygen from the room and releases carbon dioxide (CO₂) directly into it. In a room that is too small, this can become dangerous for the people inside. The minimum room size ensures there is enough air volume for safe use.

It is stated in cubic meters (m³). To calculate it, multiply the room's width × depth × height. If there is a permanent open passage to an adjoining room, such as a doorway or archway, that room's volume can be added.

Chorleywood Bioethanol Fireplace in White, Ex-Display Model from our London Showroom

This is our own Chorleywood display model from the showroom in London. It is offered at a heavily reduced price because the white surround has picked up a few small cosmetic marks from life on the shop floor. Everything that matters for using the fireplace is in order: the steel firebox and the Kratki 0.75 litre bioethanol burner work exactly as they should, and the fireplace comes with the full 2-year warranty.

Condition and cosmetic marks

We have photographed every mark close up, so you know exactly what you are buying. The marks are limited to the painted MDF surround and do not affect use or safety.

  • Plinth, front right corner: the corner of the base moulding is chipped with a little bare MDF showing, and there are a few fine hairline cracks in the paint along the moulding next to it.
  • Plinth, front left corner: a small knock on the edge of the lower moulding.
  • Mantel shelf: two small chips along the front edge of the top shelf and a light scuff near the left end.
  • General: light surface marks consistent with display use.

Once the fireplace is in place, the plinth marks sit low at floor level and are hard to spot. If you would like them gone completely, they can be repaired with a little wood filler and white paint.

  • Absolutely fantastic service from Bioethanol Fireplace .co.uk. From our first online enquiry this company have been extremely helpful and informative. Casper answered all of the questions that we had and also sent us a video comparing the two fires that we were interested in as we were not able to visit the showroom. Delivery was very quick and we absolutely love our fire. It has made a lovely addition to our conservatory making it much more useable during the colder winter months. Would definitely recommend this company - 5 massive stars from us!

  • I recently purchased a bioethanol fire and I’m extremely pleased with it. It looks great, works beautifully, and has an impressively long burning time. It’s easy to use and adds a lovely atmosphere to the room. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a clean, stylish heating option! The fire was packed extremely well for transport, and my husband put it together with ease.

  • I was pleased to have find this company as its products are superior to what is on sale in all the other vendors i researched. I am very happy with my purchase a Victoria cast iron electric stove it looks great in my kitchen - and it warms up my kitchen really quickly. The stove was expensive but worth the investment as i think this stove will be with me for a long time.

  • I purchased a Bioethanol Fireplace from Bio Fireplace Group and I couldn’t be happier. The service couldn’t have been better from start to finish. The fire arrived quicker than expected, the customer service is second to none and well the fire itself is stunning. I can’t wait to purchase another fire for my orangey.

  • Order arrived quickly and in perfect condition due to the care taken in wrapping and packaging. The Columbus fireplace is excellent. It is surprisingly good at warming the room and I've particularly enjoyed lighting in first thing to cheer up a grey start to the day.
